Interview with Shawn Ashmore

April 22, 2003

Shawn AshmoreShawn Ashmore’s excited to talk about his new film X-2. He’s on the verge of divulging secrets of the next X-Men movie but he checks his enthusiasm and holds back imperative information from the die-hard fans. “You’ll just have to go see the movie,” he teases.

From his home in Los Angeles (he splits his time between L.A. and Toronto) Ashmore is ecstatic that his role has been expanded for the sequel to the blockbuster X-Men, starring Academy Award winners Halle Berry and Anna Paquin as well as Ian McKellan and Hugh Jackman. Read more

Interview with Rudolf Martin

September 1, 2002

Rudolf MartinRudolf Martin has this chameleon quality about him which means you’ve seen him, probably more times than you realize. This German actor has appeared in Swordfish, Bedazzled and in the TV series “24″ and “Enterprise”. Although his roles have all been supporting he has stolen the scenes he has been in.

Rudolf didn’t think he would be handed roles on a silver platter. He thought he would have to struggle for every job he got. In other words, Hollywood is just what Rudolf expected. But the struggle has been worth it as he continues to add to his list of growing credits that includes White Oleander, Bedazzled, and Swordfish.

Born and raised in West Berlin, Rudolf moved with his family from Berlin to Paris to Italy, arriving in the United States a short time after his high school graduation from the Universite de Paris. His first professional role was in the short film The Dutch Master, which was nominated for an Academy Award® in 1994. Read more

Interview with Krystal Harris

August 22, 2002

There is a new breed of supergirl in the entertainment industry. She writes songs, sings, plays an instrument, dances and acts. Krystal Harris is among these supergirls. So how come you haven’t heard of her? Don’t worry you will. And when you do, two million of you will say “I saw her when she was the opening act on the Backstreet Boys’ Black & Blue world tour.”

That’s right folks. This 20-year-old phenom was swept out of oblivion by Backstreet Boy, Kevin Richardson. When Kevin heard Krystal sing he knew the girl was on her way and he was getting in on the ground floor. So there it was for the singer/songwriter from Indiana, she was signed on to open for one of the most popular concert tour in 2001. “The Boys,” as Krystal calls them, signed her as the first artist on their record label KBNHA Records. Okay, well maybe it wasn’t that easy but her story should spark the imaginations of all those struggling songsters that it could happen to them too. Read more

Interview with Gerard Butler

Gerard Butler

Gerard Butler is in a great mood. I ask him how he is and he goes on for a few minutes explaining how he was being fitted for costumes for his next movie Michael Crichton’s Timeline that afternoon, how he trained at the gym, and how he is attending, on average, one and a half plays a day while in London. Earlier that week, he says he was in northern England with the man who’s making all the longbows for Timeline and was shown how to work one. Read more

Interview with Eric Johnson

November 15, 2001

Eric JohnsonI first met Eric Johnson six years ago when he was a high school student and I was a journalism student.

He had just made his big screen debut in Legends of the Fall. And what a debut it was, spending screen time opposite Sir Anthony Hopkins.

Not too shabby for a 15 year old from Edmonton, Canada.

“It was my first glimpse at Hollywood movie making. And just the grand scale of things blew my mind away,” says Eric, sipping on a coffee. Read more
