Hugh Dancy

Chances are you’ve see Hugh Dancy in something he’s done. And my guess is you’ve said to yourself “who is that charming, good-looking guy?” I’ll tell you, shall I?
Hugh finished Oxford with top marks in English (smart AND cute) but acting was his true passion. For nearly 10 years Dancy’s worked steadily in both films and theater. In 2001 he scored a role in the international cast of Black “Hotties” Down as a medic but it was his role as Prince Charmont in Ella Enchanted that brought Hugh to the attention of a wider audience. And if you caught HBO’s miniseries “Elizabeth I” you saw Hugh along side the classic and classy Helen Mirren and Jeremy Irons. My personal Hugh favorites are Blood and Chocolate and The Jane Austen Book Club (I can’t recommend that one enough).
In 2009 Hugh will be co-starring with Isla Fisher in Confession of a Shopaholic, due out February 13. And now that Fox Searchlight has picked up the film Adam it looks like we’ll be seeing Hugh possibly again later this year as well.

“who is that charming, good-looking guy?” HAHA that is pretty much exactly what I said when I watched Jane Austen Book Club (which I totally LOVED!) and again when I saw the ad for Shopaholic, which I can’t wait to see, especially now after knowing its him!
