I’m a PC, he’s a Mac®. You’ve got to figure Justin Long hears that constantly. I suppose there are worse things to be known for that a series of successful commercials. But who wants that when you can be forever known as the kid who gets hit with a wrench in Dodgeball or as the voice of a chipmunk?
Justin is one of those a-dork-able actors. He’s not the buff leading men. He’s smart (Galaxy Quest), funny (Waiting) more than likely screaming like a girl when the action is going down (Live Free or Die Hard). He’s also an incredibly hard worker. In 2009 alone IMDB has 10 projects listed, including sequels to the aforementioned Waiting and Alvin and the Chipmunks. First up is He’s Just Not That Into You in February. The one I’m looking forward to is director Sam Raimi’s return to the horror genre: Drag Me to Hell. He’s dragging Alison Lohman and Justin (who has the coolest horror movie name – Clay, same as The Mountain in Friday the 13th) along with him.
Judging by how many directors want to work with him I don’t think Justin has to worry about hocking computers for the rest of his career. And that couldn’t have happened to a more deserving guy.
