From the official site: The battle of the sexes heats up in Columbia Pictures’ comedy The Ugly Truth. Abby Richter (Katherine Heigl) is a romantically challenged morning show producer whose search for Mr. Perfect has left her hopelessly single. She’s in for a rude awakening when her bosses team her with Mike Chadway (Gerard Butler), a hardcore TV personality who promises to spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick.
It’s quite obvious that we here at Ones2Watch4 love Gerard Butler. He was one of our first discoveries in 2001 and we have an old exclusive interview with him for those interested in old news. The Ugly Truth is his new film co-staring comedy darling of the moment Katherine Heigl.
The story centers around a romantically challenged morning show producer (Heigl) is reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her chauvinistic correspondent (Butler) to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love. His clever ploys, however, lead to an unexpected result.
We have to admit, while his dramatic roles in 300 and Dear Frankie were memorable, we love it when Gerard makes us laugh. His last film, RockNRolla, had us rolling and thoroughly enjoying his comic timing and ability to just have fun with a film! We would expect nothing less from this R-rated comedy. It was tailor made for Gerard and Katie.
Bring it on and make us laugh and maybe fall in love once again with the talented Gerard!
