In Marvel world, the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 was initiated by Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon), a Frankenstein from Nazi Germany. X-Men: First Class revolves around the relationship between Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lensherr/Magneto (Michael Fassbender). It’s the gathering of the first X-Mutants, with lots of X-action and drama surrounding the conflict of compassion for the separate species and vengeful world domination. First class acting from the lead characters and funny cameo appearances by Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Romijn make the film. The coolest mutant? Emma Frost (January Jones) as the White Queen (I call her Diamond Girl).
