Easy Virtue

The liberties taken in Easy Virtue, the new screen adaptation of Noel Coward’s 1924 play, may cause Noel Coward purists to have a heart attack or a fit of the vapors. However, as this is one of Coward’s lesser known plays, the changes made by writer/director Stephan Elliott (The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert) are far more forgivable than they would be to one of Coward’s classics, such as Private Lives, Design for Living, or Blithe Spirit. The film is not pure Coward by any means, but in the end is an enjoyable piece of fluff. Read more

You know Ben gets a lot of comparisons to fellow Brit thespian Orlando Bloom and it’s not difficult to see why. Ben’s breakthrough role in 2008 was in the second installment of the Narnia books brought to screen “Prince Caspian” as the title character. Flowing dark hair, dark eyes, riding a horse and welding a sword: yup that’s pretty much Bloom’s territory. Read more
