Cameron Bright

Ok I’m not going to mince words here – Cameron Bright plays creepy kids really well. It’s got to be the eyes and that serious expression of his. But I’ve got to tell you, I love those eyes and when this guy smiles…whoa! So what does the future hold for this Canadian actor as he crosses over from child roles to adult ones? Ugh, I’m going to hate myself for saying this: well the future is really BRIGHT for BRIGHT. And perhaps a coveted role in a monster of a movie will open bigger doors for this blue-eyed boy.
Like fellow one2watch4 actor Nicholas Hoult, Cam started in the business at a very young age. So by the time he turned 16 in 2009, he’d had 10 years of experience behind him. His first big role was in the reincarnation themed film Birth (2004), with Nicole Kidman. Did you see this one? The story is Cam’s character claims to be the reincarnation of Kidman’s dead husband. There are some uncomfortable moments that the very young Bright handled exceptionally well. It was that kind of concentration that landed him parts in Ultraviolet (2006), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) and Thank You for Smoking (2006).
I have a feeling though we’ll be talking about Cameron’s career in terms of pre and post -New Moon. Cameron says when the call came to come in for an audition for the role of the powerful Volturi Alec he was unable to make the trip from Vancouver Island to the production office in the city. Distraught at the idea of losing out on such a momentous opportunity, Bright’s thought was to call the casting director and apologize profusely. His agent calmed him down, stating that they were more than likely going to just offer him the part without having to meet with him. And they did. You gotta figure that’s due in large part to the reputation this young actor has garnered for himself. And his interaction with Twilight fans at premieres and events insures he’ll be a favorite in no time.
Gracious and intelligent, this kid is going to go far. We have the next in the Twilight Saga, Eclipse to look forward to and the almost-certain Breaking Dawn. Also look for a couple newer, but smaller titles, An American Affair and Walled In on DVD. Oh and Cam has a twitter account you can follow, you know in case you want to get to the real guy, behind blue eyes.

Let it be known that I am a Wolf Girl. I prefer my men hot and furry, at least when it comes to the Twi-verse. But variety, I’m told, is the spice of life so I am not opposed to the occasional venture over to the cold and sexy vampire side. When you look at Kellan Lutz, can you blame me? Rock hard abs, penetrating blue eyes, guns that should be illegal. Mmm, and that sly little grin of his. One look at Mr. Lutz tells you that he knows what he’s working with. And the women of the world swoon collectively in gratitude. Yes, Kellan Lutz is definitely a VILF.
For those of you unfamiliar with the world of Twilight, 24 year old Kellan plays Emmett Cullen, Edward’s bear of a big brother. Emmett is the kind of guy that will wrap you in a great big hug while he rips off the head of your enemy behind your back. A nice guy to have on your side, for sure.
Born in North Dakota and raised in Arizona, Kellan began his career as a model. (Shocking, right?) Twilight marks his first major theatrical role, but it will definitely not be his last. Kellan currently has three films in post production including Warrior, with his Twilight co-star Ashley Greene, Meskada, and A Nightmare on Elm Street. Previous credits include guest starring spots on “CSI: NY”, “Six Feet Under”, and “CSI”, as well as a recurring role on the new and “improved” “90210″. This is where he met his off-again/on-again girlfriend Anna Lynn McCord. The couple is, sadly, not at all shy about sucking face all over L.A., so if you’re interested feel free to Google those images. There’s also a Youtube video for the truly brave. It’s not pretty though. You’ve been warned.
Dubious girlfriend choices aside, the self-described “mama’s boy” seems to be a truly nice guy. And ladies, while we might lust after the bad boy, isn’t it really the good ones that win our hearts in the end? While you’re Googling, why don’t you try a search for Kellan and his dog Kola. Go ahead. I’ll wait…… Are you back? Was that an “awe” I just heard? Indeed his devotion to his furry friend is enough to tip a girl right over the edge into the wonderful, lusty abyss (you know, if for some strange reason the abs and arms weren’t enough for you). Oh, did I mention he also has brains? Before breaking into acting Kellan was on track to study chemical engineering in college. A handsome, strong, intelligent man who loves his mama and can protect you from the boogeyman? Sign me up! (Just don’t tell the wolves!)

From the official site: In the second installment of Stephanie Meyer’s phenomenally successful TWILIGHT series, the romance between vampire and mortal soars to a new level as BELLA SWAN (Kristen Stewart) delves deeper into the mysteries of the supernatural world she yearns to become part of – only to find herself in greater peril than ever before.
Following Bella’s ill-fated 18th birthday party, EDWARD CULLEN (Robert Pattinson) and his family abandon the town of Forks, Washington in an effort to protect her from the dangers inherent in their world. As the heartbroken Bella sleepwalks through her senior year, numb and alone, she discovers Edward’s image comes to her whenever she puts herself in jeopardy. Her desire to be with him at any cost leads her to take greater and greater risks.
With the help of her childhood friend JACOB BLACK (Taylor Lautner), Bella refurbishes an old motorcycle to carry her on her adventures. Bella’s frozen heart is gradually thawed by her budding relationship with Jacob, a member of the mysterious Quileute tribe, who has a supernatural secret of his own.
When a chance enounter brings Bella face to face with a former nemesis, only the intervention of a pack of supernaturally large wolves saves her from a grisly fate, and the encounter makes it frightening clear that Bella is still in grave danger. In a race against the clock , Bella learns the secret of the Quileute and Edward’s true motivation for leaving her. She also faces the prospect of a potentially deadly reunion with her beloved that is a far cry from the one she hoped for. With more of the passion, action and suspense that made TWILIGHT a worldwide phenomenon, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON is a spell-binding follow up to the box office hit.

Jackson Rathbone

Bite me or sing to me, vampire or rock star; either way, I’m all yours! Jackson Rathbone, my personal favorite reason to be excited about the opening of New Moon, is a perfectly adorable “Jack-of-all-entertainment-trades’ – vampire, movie & TV actor, musician, singer, composer – there’s apparently nothing this boy can’t do, and do very well indeed.
Jackson first came to general notice in November ’08, by playing one of the key secondary characters in the Twilight Universe, Jasper Whitlock-Hale-Cullen. (Jasper’s proper surname depends upon what point of the book/movie saga you are referring to!) While many of the young actors in the film ignited furious debate over whether they were the right choices to play the much beloved Twilight characters, Jackson was universally accepted as an excellent ‘spot on’ Jasper. In spite of having limited screen-time in the film, Jackson managed to breathe life into the non-breathing vampire, enough to make his brief scenes memorable ones. For myself, one of the few warm-blooded females who did NOT fall into a swoon at the sight of Robbie Pattinson, the films’ brooding ‘Edward’ – I found Mr. Rathbone to be the most attractive male in a cast positively filled with Fan Girl ‘eye candy.’ Voicing this opinion often produced the comment: “You mean the one that looks like Edward Sissorhands?” And my reply: “Why do you say that like it’s a bad thing? Edward Sissorhands is JOHNNY DEPP, after all!!”
With a little research, I soon discovered that there was a great deal more to Jackson than being convincing in golden contacts and swinging a mean vampire baseball bat. He has several TV appearances on his resume, as well as some lesser-known films. I’d highly recommend checking out his ‘Criminal Minds’ episode, and movies Big Stan and S. Darko – all impressive examples of his acting ability and range. I’m also looking forward to his role as ‘Sokka’ in the upcoming The Last Airbender – and have fingers crossed that his lower budget films: Dread, Hurt and Girlfriend will make their way to mainstream theaters.
The biggest surprise, however, was discovering that Jackson Rathbone has his own band, 100 Monkeys. I became a devoted Monkey’s fan this past June, when I had the great fortune and absolute pleasure of seeing them perform live in New York City. I’ll freely admit that I had no expectations of the show, since my limited grasp of their music – based on poor quality YouTube fan video – was that it was mainly ‘jazz’ oriented, not a type of music I usually favor, but ‘100 Monkey’s LIVE is nothing short of incredible! Much of the music is jazz-ish, but they play faster rock-type numbers too, and all of it wonderful to hear and to watch! In fact, I can’t imagine anyone not having a great time watching these guys perform! They were all having SO MUCH fun — I could not help but wonder whatever made Jackson want to go into acting, since he obviously loves his music with his whole heart! During the show he played guitar, keyboard, drums, and trumpet, as well as singing lead for most of the songs. They also do ‘improv’ songs, which consists of creating an entire song, music and lyrics, right on the spot; something that you just have to experience for yourself to believe!
It certainly doesn’t hurt the show, that the other guys who make up 100 Monkeys, (Jerad Anderson, Ben Johnson & Ben Graupner), are all quite cute, but it was difficult to pay them any attention, with Jackson there. Looking even more gorgeous in person than he does on screen; Jackson’s eyes are ‘immortally’ beautiful, and his SMILE…. ‘lights up the room’ does not begin to cover it! For days after the show, I saw that smile every time I closed my eyes, just like the ‘after image’ of a flash bulb!
OK, so at just short of his 25th birthday, Jackson Rathbone is an accomplished actor, part of one of the major pop-culture crazes of our time, a genius level musician and performer, and a drool-worthy male specimen besides! Talent, fame, fortune, and striking good looks – ‘too shallow’ you say? Well, by all reports he’s an absolute sweetheart to his cast mates, and to those fans who have been lucky enough to have a personal ‘encounter’ – he loves his mother (sporting a ‘Mom’ in a heart, tattoo) and is, dare I say, ‘super’ intelligent – and if you think that’s exaggerated, look up ‘Hundredth-monkey effect’ on Wikipedia! And that’s why, while the Twi-World divides itself between the Rob-sessed and the Wolf-girls… just call me ‘Team Jasper’!

Taylor Lautner
October 29, 2009 by Cris G.
I think the same thing every time I see my friend’s little boy: She’s going to have to beat the girl’s off with a stick when he grows up. Taylor Lautner’s mother must have had friends like me. I hoped they warned her and that she prepared herself for the madness.
Growing up in Michigan, Taylor studied a number of martial arts forms from a very young age. Before he even reached his teens, he already had number one rankings, gold medals and world championships under his belt…black belt that is. Had he not been encouraged by others to try his hand at acting, we may very well have been following his career in another arena. The acting bug won out though and his family decided to permanently relocate to California to give him better opportunities. Their faith in his talent paid off.
It’s hard to believe that the little boy who started out with the cheeky grin (and the fin on his back) in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl grew up into one of the hottest stars on the planet. With the latest installment of the Twilight franchise about to explode over screens worldwide, women everywhere are working themselves into a frenzy over a certain teenage werewolf. Michael J. Fox has got nothing on this kid. He’s too sexy for his fur.
In New Moon, he reprises his role as Jacob Black, a shape-shifter/werewolf who befriends and falls in love with Bella Swan. While Jacob was somewhat of a secondary character in Twilight, here he’s a larger, more physical presence. His fan base (Go, Team Jacob!) is rabid and when it was rumored someone else might assume the role, they responded with outrage. For them, no one is better suited to play Jacob. I have to agree.
Taylor took his responsibility to the film and to his fans so seriously that he added 30 pounds of muscle for the more physically demanding role. Asked about his preparations during a television interview, he gamely flicked up his shirt and I was immediately thankful that I have always been too sanelazy to truly stalk someone. The boy – did I mention that he’s only 17? – has abs like a Spartan (except that none of his are painted on) and eyes that can cast spells. He is definitely one of the most talented, charming and handsome actors in Hollywood.
He is also “jailbait” and I really don’t appreciate being put in this situation…again. I haven’t had a crisis of conscience like this since underage wizards learned to fly.
Look for Taylor in New Moon opening in theaters nationwide on November 20th. You can also look for him on February 11th when he turns 18 (and you can stop feeling guilty for googling that clip of him taking off his shirt in the film’s trailer. Don’t act like I’m the only one!).

Stephenie Meyer confirms Taylor Lautner will be in ‘Twilight’ sequel
January 8, 2009 by Ann Lake

In a post on her website, Twilight author Stephenie Meyer confirms that Taylor Lautner will reprise his role as Jacob in the hit vampire romance’s sequel, New Moon. As EW first reported last night, this news ends months of curiosity about whether Lautner would return.
READ THE NEWS BELOW:
January 7, 2009
Good news about New Moon from director Chris Weitz:
I’m very happy to announce that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in New Moon and that he’s doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit Entertainment, the producers, and Stephenie Meyer.
The characters in Stephenie’s books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it is not surprising that there has been speculation about whether the same actor would portray a character who changes in so many surprising ways throughout the series. But it was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob, and that the books would be best served by the actor who is emotionally right for the part. I think that fans of Twilight the book and the movie will be surprised by the Jacob Black that Taylor will bring to the screen in New Moon; and I’m looking forward to working with him and the rest of the cast in realizing the film.
very best
Chris Weitz
I’d just like to add that I was very much a part of this decision. My first priority was always what was best for New Moon—what was going to give us the best possible movie. I’m truly thrilled that Taylor was the one who proved to the director, to Summit, and to me that he is the best possible Jacob we could have. And I’m very much looking forward to seeing what he’s going to bring to Jacob’s character this year.

It’s a Twilight Thing? So, explain it to me!
January 5, 2009 by Ann Lake
With the holidays over, I can safely say, I was bitten by the Twilight bug. Thanks to my teen daughter, and her need to see the movie again and again, I finally had the time to see what all the fuss was about. I read all the books in three days. Yep, I was hooked, but increasingly I wonder why.
While the stories pulled me in and I had seen the film before ever reading a page of the series, why did I feel cheated the way the story was told on film after reading the book? Is it because I am a much older reader, pulled in by the history of the Quileute Tribe and Cullen family more than the teen forbidden love? Is it because I am a child of more darker vampire stories like Anne Rice’s work? I was disappointed that more was not shown of Carlisle’s hisory during Bella’s first visit to the Cullen home as it was in the book. The flight through the trees was impressive, but hardly necessary.
I will admit, I found the cinematic Edward Cullen creepy. No offense to Rob Pattinson, who intrigues me as a future One2Watch4, but he wasn’t the Edward I envisioned while reading the books. Of course, after multiple viewings of the film (which I make my daughter pay for out of her own money
), I can see the nuances of his performance where he seemed much older than the character’s 17 years. That was the point after all and I hope to see more of that in the sequels.
I had no issue with the other kids. Bella even reminded me of my own daughter in the way she dressed and acted. The suffer-in-silence type. Jasper kind of grew on me, but more because I wanted to check under his bed for monsters before he went to sleep. Hopefully his story will be told well in Eclipse and more of what he is about comes out for film audiences. It would be a shame to not do that story justice.
The love story certainly pushed a few buttons. Who is not enamoured with a love so strong and binding? Not that I haven’t found a similar love, but as time passes, you seek things that remind you of that feeling, that passion, that tends to diminish after years of living a life of routine and the mundane, even if it is with your true love.
For all it’s faults, I can’t shake my attraction to the story, although I question some of why the characters did, or accepted, the things they did. Probably too much thinking on my part, but I can’t help it! Sue me.
I hope beyond hope that Summit’s rush to film and release New Moon, which is so obviously financially driven, doesn’t become the Twilight fanchise’s X-Men: The Last Stand. My plea is, if it isn’t working by September, for God’s sake, push the release date back! There is no crime in waiting. I think fans are willing to wait for something great, instead of something you can put on a T-shirt.
So, tell me, what is it about the books and film that pulls you in?
Robert Pattinson

Wizards and vampires have pretty much defined Robert Pattinson in the early stages of his acting career winning him legions of fans for his portrayal as the doomed Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and the teenage Victorian vampire, Edward Cullen, in 2008′s Twilight. Under all the hype lies a 22 year old promising talent that promises to grace our movie screens, iPods and stage productions for many years to come.
Pattinson is credited as the writer and singer of two songs featured in Twilight, Never Think and Let Me Sign. He has been playing piano since the age of 4 and also plays guitar. He performs under the name Bobby Dupea (in tribute to his favorite actor, Jack Nicholson, and the character Jack played in Five Easy Pieces) for his own personal satisfaction, but insists that music is only a backup if the acting gigs dry up. We can only hope he continues to share that part of his talent through other soundtrack contributions and eventually a full fledged album. It would be a damn shame to not get a chance to listen to him more!
Born in London, England, Rob caught the acting bug at the age of 15 winning roles in amateur plays, eventually landing him lead roles at Barnes Theatre Club. He has lead roles in the the forthcoming feature films Little Ashes, in which he plays Salvador Dalí, How To Be, a British comedy, and the short film The Summerhouse.
He is also set to reprise his role as Edward Cullen in the Twilight sequels, New Moon and Eclipse, with filming of the back-to-back films slated to begin in March 2009.

On Sunday, December 7th, Summit Entertainment confirmed that Catherine Hardwicke will not direct the films New Moon or Eclipse. Filming begins on New Moon in March, 2009, and will continue right through completion of Eclipse.
Chris Weitz, director of American Pie, About a Boy, and The Golden Compass will take over the franchise, which will begin filming in March 2009.
